Back in late 2009, I went to Wal-Mart with my boyfriend and wandered around in the toy section. A lone Drifblim was laying there in a dirty plush box, and something urged me to take it home with me. The more I looked upon and learned about Drifblim, the more I fell in love with it. It can float up in the air and wander wherever the winds carry it. I think one of the reasons I'm so fascinated with it is because I wish I could just wander around relentlessly and not worry about where I end up, just like a Drifblim can. Drifloon is simply just a cute purple ball of ghostly cuteness that I adore very much so.
Jakks Drifblim Plush
This is sadly the only official Drifblim plush in exisitence. This particular plush here is the very one I mentioned in the paragraph above; the one that started my Drifblim collection (and urged me to collect Pokemon hardcore in general!). All thanks to this cute purple ball of fluff.
He used to hang in the rearview mirror of my car, but now he's just with the other Blims in my collection shelf. Perhaps I'll obtain another one someday to hang in my car again.

Drifloon Canvas Plush
The Canvas Plush series is perhaps my favorite plush series besides the Pokedolls. This was the first Drifloon plush I obtained, and I basically squealed like a little girl when I opened up the package. The fact that the Canvas Plush are supposed to represent a pastel drawing and the fact that I'm a graphic designer seemed like I was destined to own a plush like this.
The art on the tag is one of my favorite features, as well as the ball of fluff on Drifloon's head. It's litearlly the perfect Drifloon plush in existence!

Jakks Drifloon Plush
Jakks Pacific, a toy company here in the US, was known for making the most ridiculous plush of Pokemon, and being rather sporadic about their merchandise. Thankfully, Drifloon was one of the random Pokemon that received a plush! Yay for purple balloons!
Although personally this is my least favorite Drifloon plush (mainly due to the fact his head fluff is perpendicular instead of parallel to his body, his head is flat and his eyes are rather low), it's still a lovable plush.

Jakks Drifloon Throwball Plush
Such a tiny Floon plush! This is from the "Throwball Plush" series made my Jakks Pacfici, where this tiny plush is in a plastic Pokeball and when you throw it, he pops out.
Not as intimidating as the packaging makes it out to be....from what I remember seeing in the stores, the Pokeball was open, and there were tons of arrows and action lines drawn on the package and pointing towards the Pokemon. Who needs attack dogs anymore, or pepper spray? We can throw plastic Pokeballs and small plush at our enemies!!!

Drifloon Pokemon Petit Mascot
AHHHH!!! Drifloon's first new plush in nearly SIX YEARS!!!!! The Petit Mascot series is a rather new plush series at the Pokemon Center, it started around 2012-2013. Although the Pokemon Center has been making mascot plush for years, they actually branded a new, super cute series, called Pokemon Petit!! They feature super chibified Pokemon, attached with a small ball and chain keyring.
Randomly in the late fall of 2014, during the ORAS hype, a member on PKMNcollectors posted about these!! I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw the pictures! A small, minky, super happy Drifloon, and I had to get my hands on one! Not only is the tag art to die for, his face is just the most adorable thing, and he's SMILING!!! LOOK AT HIS CUTE MOUTH!!!! His head fluff is much fluffier than his previous plush, it's soft like a cotton cloud!
Besides the Canvas plush, this one is my other favorite Floon plush!

Drifloon Airgurumi Plush
My holy grail of Drifloon plush! The rarest and hardest to find Drifloon plush in existence, and highly sought after by Drifloon/Drifblim collectors.
"Airgurumi" stands for "air filled plush". As soft as the plush looks, there's actually a white beach ball inside! Most collectors who own one take the beach ball out and stuff it with cotton, so it actually poses as a plush. I was highly considering doing it, but I decided against it since I think it's awesome to have this plush in its "true" balloon Pokemon form. I definitely didn't want to miss the chance to literally have a Pokemon filled with air, haha.

Custom Drifloon Bell Plushes
Reminiscent of the Suzunari Pokemon Plush made by Banpreseto, most commonly referred to as "Bell Plush", these little Floons are made from crushed velvet with felt details, a small bell, and a string on its head. They are a rather simple plush, but I admire them very much. I have a regular version, shiny version, and a red one. The red one reminds me of one of my old PKMNcollectors buddies, who went by the name 99reddrifloons. She was very nice and I haven't seen her around in awhile. I'm glad I have this little red Floon as a reminder of her!
I believe these were crafted by shootthetanks on PKMNcollectors. I'll forever cherish them!!!

Drifblim Jakks Figure
One of the first Drifblim figures I acquired. Jakks Pacific usually has a reputation of turning the strangest Pokemon into figures, but thankfully Drifblim got one (he isn't strange to me, but perhaps he is to other people, haha).

Drifblim Tomy
A classic Tomy figure. Some Gen IV Pokemon were made into Tomy figures, and of course, Drifblim was one of them. I'm so happy this guy received a figure like this!

Drifblim Kids
A little chubby chibi Drifblim in Kid form. Look at those stubby little legs! Who would've thought this Pokemon would've looked fantastic in chibi form. Although, who DOESN'T look cute in chibi form?
On the right, we have the attack Drifblim kid. It's doing the Explosion attack! Whoa! Although not my personal favorite attack in the game since it knocks you out, this Drifblim looks rather cute when he's angry and exploding. Yeah Drifblim, you show those Pokemon who's boss.

Clear Drifblim Kid
Oh yay, Drifblim actually received a clear kid!!!! I had to do a double take on this guy to make sure that he was clear. I barely noticed that the light purple part of his legs were the clear part. How strange! I would think it would be his body or his head fluff.

Drifblim DX Kid
A larger and more realistic looking version of the Drifblim Kid. One of my favorite Drifblim figures. You can turn his body and move his legs! For the first year that I owned him, I had NO idea he could do that. The more you know!

Drifblim Chou Get Figure
Awesomely cool Chou Get figure! These are more than likely the successor of the FCS figures, since the figures are small and they are attached to a base that can be interlocked with other Pokemon. I remember seeing photos of it and imagining it to be much bigger in person. They're actually quite small!

Drifblim Keshipoke Figure
A super tiny Drifblim Keshipoke figure! I was pleasantly surprised to find out a Keshipoke of Drifblim existed, so naturally I had to seek one for my own. These figures are VERY small, and they are made of a soft plastic, almost rubber-like. If you happened to stumble upon a mint one, they come in a rubber Pokeball! The Keshipoke figures are actually super detailed, which is quite impressive for being such a small figure.

Drifblim Phone Straps
Phone straps of our favorite purple balloon that you can attach to your phone! Although...I think many smartphones nowadays don't have that charm holder anymore. Boo! The strap on the right was my first eBay purchase ever (gasp!) as well as my first imported Pokemon item.
The strap on the left has a Pokeball shaped micro-fiber screen cleaner on it, attached by a springy clear cord!

Drifloon Jakks Figure
I find it pretty cool that they turned Drifloon into a Jakks figure. He attaches to a huge clear peg and a base, and you can move it with a knob from the side. He actually doesn't stand up straight, he tilts over from side to side a lot. It takes a little bit of patience and balance to get him to stand up straight, but once he does, he's quite the photogenic little guy!
The Jakks Drifblim figure also can be attached to a peg and base similar to this one, and you can lock these giant bases together!

A cutie pie Drifloon resting on a white fluffy cloud. What a cute concept!

Clear Drifloon Kid
Word on the street is that Clear Pokemon Kids like to wander on window sills on clear sunny days. Clear Kids look the best when you photograph them on a brightly lit surface!!! The neat part about this figure is that his cleverly convenient clear clouds make it seem like he's floating!

Drifloon Chou Get Figure
I honestly didn't know a Drifloon Chou existed when I started collecting the ghosty balloons, so when I found one, I knew I had to get it since Drifloon doesn't have many figures.
It's rather lovely, and it reminds me of the Drifloon Kid.

Drifloon/Drifblim Zukan
My favorite 1/40 scale figures! Drifloon is incredibly small. If you take him off of that peg, you will more than likely lose him if you don't keep track of him!!!
I always love how detailed and wonderful these figures are.

Drifblim Coin
Mmm, shiny Japanese Blim coin. His Japanese name, "Fuwaride" is engraved on it.

Pokeball Slot Game featuring Drifblim
A nifty plastic Pokeball that opens up with a slot game inside. You press the white button to spin the slots! I believe this toy originally came from a Japanese McDonalds.
The Drifblim on the top is actually a large and flat Drifblim pog that you can switch out with other flat pogs.

Drifblim Retsuden Stamps
I've always wanted a Retsuden Stamp like burning, one that featured any one of my favorite Pokemon. I won these in an auction at the same time, and they're quite delightful! They're self inking and reflect the image that's on the sticker.
Retsuden stamps are made by Ensky; the company is notorious for making collectors rather frustrated, since their items come blind packaged, and it's hard to locate a specific Pokemon. The 3rd and 4th gen stamps are amongst the rarest Retsudens, so I'm rather happy to have both of Drifblim's stamps.

Drifloon Battrio Coins
These neato plastic coins feature really cool, dynamic art of Drifloon! There were tons of 3rd and 4th gen Pokemon that received a Battrio coin, although I'm not entirely positive which ones.

Daisuki Club Drifloon Balloon
An actual balloon, featuring our favorite cutie balloon Pokemon!!! The Daisuki Club is the name of the Japanese Pokemon Fan Club. They frequently give their members really sweet stuff and merchandise, which ends up being super limited, which in turns makes any merchandise from the Daisuki Club valuable and sought after!
A lot of the merchandise that members receive, I believe they are called "club prizes", so I believe there is some sort of lottery to win specific merchandise. I think this balloon may have been a prize! But I'm not totally sure, haha.
This balloon is actually very sturdy, not super tall, and features lots and lots of Drifloons all over the balloon.

Drifloon Bento Eraser
This Drifloon is just too cute to eat! Wait...I think that's the point. I don't think rubber erasers shaped like food would taste very good.
I've been wanting this eraser for the longest time, and thankfully it finally made its way into my life! If only I could make my lunch boxes as appealing as this one. I wonder what kind of food that Drifloon is supposed to be anyways? Not many foods are purple, at least that light of a purple. Hmmmm.

Drifloon Hiragana Poof
So soft and poofy! There are a couple sets of these featuring Pokemon in cute poses. These adorable pieces of foam were made to help Japanese children learn Hiragana in the bathtub by you sticking them on the bath wall. How interesting! If only I had cool bathtub toys like this one as a kid!!

Pokemon Time Tin
The Pokemon Time promotion is a series of merchandise that comes through the Pokemon Center at least once a year. There are a handful of Pokemon chosen to be drawn in this style usually it's random or follows whatever generation is current at the time, and there's loads of merchandise to follow! Usually clearfiles, plush, phone straps, etc. Drifloon didn't receive a plush, but he did receive this really shiny tin!
The tin held candy inside I believe...it actually reminds me of those Altoids tins that held REALLY strong mints. (what happened to those anyways, do they still make them?)
Anyways! Drifloon here looks really fabulous. The tin is covered in plastic jewels...like those "bling bling" stickers you can buy to decorate your phone with. I personally think those are tacky...but here on this Drifloon, it's not THAT tacky!!! Go on with your blingy self, Drifloon!

Pokemon Time Strap
The same Drifloon art above, except in keychain form! This keychain is more like a phone strap, and it's quite awesome, since Drifloon doesn't have many charms like Drifblim has!
You'll notice from looking at the other Pokemon featured on the backing of the strap, the Pokemon Time style is very lovely and quirky. The defining feature of the Pokemon Time style are the large, round eyes, usually with big pupils. Although Drifloon traditionally has black eyes only...he looks so adorable and innocent with the Pokemon Time eyes!

Drifloon/Drifblim Pokemon Center Charms
Drifloon and Drifblims very own Pokemon Center charms!!! A first for our favorite ghosty balloons!!!! Remember how I said on the Ekans/Arbok page that in 2012, the Pokemon Center decided to make EVERY SINGLE POKEMON into a charm?!!! The Drifloon line was of course, one of those Pokemon that received a charm!!!
Drifblim looks super happy with his smiling face. Drifloon looks like he's trying to float away. Sorry Mr. Floon! You're staying in that package.

Pokemon Center 2009 Halloween Promo Clearfile
Whoa, look at this spooky thing!!! Every year at the Pokemon Center, there's a halloween promotion featuring ghosty Pokemon! The 2009 promotion is by far my favorite, as it features gen 4 and below Pokemon, and their really cool and spooky silhouettes! There was a bunch of merchandise made with this artwork. I know a notebook exists, and a bunch of keychain mascots. Took me awhile to track this clearfile down, but I'm so happy to finally have it in my collection!
<--- This picture right here is actually the back of the clearfile. The front does have some cool Pokemon, but the most important ones are right here. Look at that big ol' Blim! And the little Floons following closely behind. Wonder where everyone is floating off to?
